Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden

If you know me you probably guessed we would visit some kind of nursery or garden. How correct, we visited one of the most beautiful gardens I have seen. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Very well laid out and kept up. The diversity of flora is fantastic. Like most of Cape Town the backside of Table Mountain is the icing on the cake.
We walked around enjoying the gardens, taking photos then found their retail nursery, so we stopped in and did some comparison shopping.
Just as we stepped inside a restaurant for some lunch it began raining. We enjoyed a lunch of Ostrich burger and cheeses with local white wine, what a Life we are having.
Till Next Time.

Cape Town South Africa

Finally we arrive in Cape Town, after 17 hours of flight time, 2 stops one in Dakar to refuel airplane and one in Jo-burg as the port of entry into South Africa, and do the customs routine. The final leg was a two an a half hour flight, we arrive at our final destination Cape Town. I would like to say more, but the bus took us to the hotel were we just crashed, lucky for us we had a wake-up call or we would have missed the next days tour.
Our first excursion this day is to "Table Mountain" a flat top mountain over 3000' above sea level, providing a magnificent back drop to the city of Cape Town. We were in luck this day it turned out to be a very clear and warm day, as we found out many a day the top of the mountain is obscured with clouds or very cool and windy. We finished our tour by stopping at "Victoria and Alfred Waterfront" a combination mall, working harbor and tourist trap. Once in the mall we exchanged some money sat down for a much needed lunch and just people watched. This began our quest for the elusive Elephant Ear
