Runners are you ready?

American's Finest City Half Marathon went off without a hitch again on Sunday August 16, 2009. This run begins at Cabrillo National Monument, runners follow beautiful San Diego Bay thru Harbor Island, around the Embarcadero, winding through downtown and in front of our home, then up to Balboa Park.

Toni and I went out as we have in the past to cheer the runners on, and I get to practice taking action pictures. Some of the runners are so intense they don't even see me standing in the middle of the street, while others are enjoying themselves and actually pose for the camera.

The training and dedication that goes into preparing for this event, some run so effortlessly while others look as if each step is a struggle. Yet they each do it for themselves and I give them much kudos for being out there.
